Tales From Dreamland (Cont’d)
I was driving the highways of what felt like rural California one sunny Fall afternoon, in a beat up old flat white mid-size pickup, as if I were 20 – 30 years old, with long wavy thin hair dangling off the back of my otherwise bald head…
I pulled off the freeway to stop in at a convention center to see some big sales event prominently advertised with signs and banners…
I parked in the lot, went in, and was greeted by 80’s era salesmen, dressed in dark red jackets, black ties and black slacks, the vibe of christian televangelists in the air…
They were selling couches and sofas ‘wholesale’.
As one young man who reminded me of Chris Rock was pitching me as to why I needed a nice couch, I was fixated on trying to read the label tagged to it, not sure why or what information I was looking for.
As I felt the pressure of his sales pitch, he was telling me “You know why everyone wants a nice new couch”…
I tried again to read the tag, but it was blurry and out of focus.
I looked at him, and the dream faded out.

I saw three large, prominent boulders sitting on a high hill to the east, one was beige, and the two on either side were black. They broke loose, rolling down the hill towards us, and as we freaked, they hopped our side of the canyon, narrowly missing us. As we looked back up at the hillside, there were people, dressed as children, scaling the face of the mountain. The feeling was that they had pushed the boulders loose and caused the avalanche.
